Our motto in Digital Prevention Services is “For the NHS, by the NHS”. Our philosophy is that the NHS itself, with its scale, clinical expertise and unique operational knowledge, is best placed to understand its own needs.

This means:

  • we co-design services with front-line staff who have lived experience of working in the NHS
  • we work iteratively, continuously evolving the services to meet the changing needs of teams and regional NHS organisations
  • all our work is public property. It’s owned by the NHS regardless of who is helping to build it, and it’s free at the point of use
  • we work in the open, sharing source code, design histories and specifications with the public, creating reuseable components that others across the NHS can adopt
  • our multidisciplinary teams include clinicians, engineers and designers, so our services can be delivered quickly, safely and incrementally
  • we believe there are better ways than mandates to drive adoption. We build services with clear value propositions and minimal barriers to entry that NHS staff prefer.
